Ward-Pugh pledges matching grant

Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh has been so excited about our plans to create a Founders’ Garden at the Heigold house facade, she’s decided to offer a $5,000 matching grant.

That means any donation made to support the Founders’ Garden will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000!

“I am excited to support neighboring volunteers and Botanica in their efforts to beautify the entrance to Frankfort Avenue at River Road, making it a grand Doorway to The Avenue,” said Councilwoman Ward-Pugh, “This is also a great way to highlight the work that Botanica is doing to create a state of the art botanical garden for Louisville.”

Here’s how it works
Let’s say an individual makes a $150 donation through our buy a brick campaign. That gift will be matched by $150 from Tina Ward-Pugh’s Neighborhood Development Funds. Because of the match, the total impact of the gift is $300!

If you’ve thought about buying a brick to help make the Founders’ Garden a reality, there’s no better time than now.  It’s a great way to double the impact of your gift!
