Have you ever wanted to take better photos of the flowers in your garden, or maybe right here at Waterfront Botanical Gardens? Then this seminar is for you.
Come join professional nature photographer Mike Matthews as he shows you different ways to capture beautiful images of flowers and turn them into artistic masterpieces.
Some of the topics he will cover include Composition, how to use soft focus for an artistic look, High Key flower photography, macro/close up “filling the frame,” and the use of artistic elements using photoshop plugins.
Instructor: Mike Mathews’ has been shooting professionally for twenty years. His images have been published in numerous national publications like Birds and Blooms, Gulfshore Life, Bassmaster’s, and more. Many of his images have also been published by universities for articles relating to specific topics like human/wildlife interaction. Mike also offers a variety of guided Nature Photography Tours, Birding Workshops, Floral workshops, and Extreme Macro. He has been a Keynote speaker throughout the USA on these topics.

Refund Policy
Although we are unable to refund registration fees in the case of cancellation by the purchaser, the paid registration can be transferred to another student. Please notify Kat Rivers at krivers@waterfrontgardens.
In the event that Waterfront Botanical Gardens cancels a class for any reason (e.g. low enrollment, instructor unavailability, natural hazard, etc.), we will contact you by email, and we will attempt to reschedule the class or event. If there is no reschedule, the purchaser will be issued a full refund. Refunds are issued by check only.
Emergency Cancellation
In the event of an emergency cancellation, the Gardens will contact registered students with a cancellation notice (always provide/maintain a current email address and phone number so that we may notify you of an emergency or cancellation). The Gardens will attempt to reschedule classes cancelled due to an emergency event if possible.
