SUMMARY:Bonsai Workshop - Tropical Willow Leaf Ficus
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, August 23 · 1:00 to 4:00pm\nLeslie Botanical Classrooms\n$100  \nWillow Leaf Ficus (Ficus narifolia)\, is a species of fig that is native to Asia. It is a tropical plant that is cultivated as an ornamental for its foliage. It can be grown indoors\, is somewhat drought tolerant\, and is sought after for use as bonsai material. In this workshop Phil will direct participants as a group and individually to do an initial styling.  We will not be doing any repotting during this workshop. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, August 25 · 1:00 to 4:00pm\nLeslie Botanical Classrooms\n$100 \nShimpaku Juniper is a popular species of juniper that is native to Japan and is prized for its fine\, textured foliage and attractive bark. It is versatile and can be formed into a variety of bonsai styles including informal upright\, cascade and windswept. This is an outdoor tree and is winter hardy material. The material is approximately six years old and has been grown specifically as pre-bonsai.
