WBG’s New Japanese Garden – Courier Journal

“Louisville is about to get a bit more zen when a former garbage dump is transformed into a peaceful and picturesque authentic Japanese garden.

The Waterfront Botanical Gardens, 1435 Frankfort Ave., which sits atop 23-acres of a former landfill, continues its transformation. This summer, it will dedicate 2-acres of the community site to a Japanese garden which will include a Tea House, summer house, Zen garden, bonsai garden as well as a pond, waterfall and traditional arched bridge — all in a peaceful, meditative garden space.”
