Adult Classes and Workshops
Explore, discover, and enrich your life
Whether you’re trying a new hobby or digging deeper into plants and nature, we welcome you and hope to provide ways to keep you learning no matter your age and ability.
We strive to educate, inspire, and enhance appreciation of the relationship between plant life and a healthy environment.
From our staff and local experts to regional cultural partners from across Louisville and Kentuckiana, we are excited to share knowledge and enthusiasm.
Adult classes and workshops explore:
- Horticulture and Gardening
- Art and Design
- Science and Environment
- Health and Wellness
- Nature Photography
- City and Waterway History
- Distance Tours/Trips
Throughout the year, the Gardens offers lectures, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and specialty learn-and-socialize events. Our adult offerings require advance registration and are open to both WBG members and the general public. Adult Education students must be at least 16 years of age. Students ages 16 – 17 must have an adult register and attend with them. Programs that involve alcohol tastings/beverages are 21+ only. The majority of classes take place onsite at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens with occasional workshops and culinary demonstrations at our satellite facility at The Avish Estate.
