Construction is complete for the Graeser Family Education Center, Beargrass Creek Pathway, the Ellen T. Leslie Botanical Classrooms, Learning Garden, and the WBG Parking Lot on Frankfort Avenue!
We are in construction Phase 2a of 4 towards the completion of our Master Plan. Waterfront Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we need your help to continue growing!
The Beargrass Creek Extension Trail at WBG will transform previously capped landfill into a greenway that supports pollinators, wildlife habitat, and stormwater management. It will improve access to the Gardens, attract visitors, support local businesses, and encourage active recreation that benefits physical and mental health. By connecting WBG to the broader Louisville Loop, the trail will strengthen neighborhood connections, expand recreational opportunities, and enhance the overall quality of life for Louisville residents.
