Donate to Support the Gardens
Duthie Matching Campaign:
*Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar when you donate by Dec. 31, 2018.*
Through the generosity of George Duthie, we are excited to announce a $500,000 matching grant challenge to inspire new donors to step forward and increase their support for the Waterfront Botanical Gardens project. George Duthie, a long-time supporter of the vision at Waterfront Botanical Gardens, has already donated $1.2 million to the project in memory of his late wife, Mary Lee Duthie. We are incredibly grateful that he has established this new matching grant challenge, which will support the first phase of our comprehensive capital campaign.
You can play a leading role in helping to build the Graeser Family Education Center. By making a donation today, you will help us reach our goal of opening in 2019. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
From buildings to trees, you can sponsor individual features that will be included in the first phase of the garden.
We have raised over $8.4 million in support of the future Waterfront Botanical Gardens.
The Graeser Family Education Center will be the first building of Louisville’s future gardens. At the heart of our educational programming, its flexible space will be the perfect home for field trips by schoolchildren, conference speakers, flower shows, and other special events.
We’ve come a long way, but our work is not yet complete.
Will you help us continue the momentum? By making a donation today, your support will play a direct role in making our community’s dream a reality. Building this first piece of the gardens will be possible only through the generous support of people like you.
Buy a Brick
You can show your support for the future gardens by making a donation to our Buy a Brick campaign. We currently have bricks available in the Beargrass Creek Pathway. If your brick is a gift, let us know and we can include a gift acknowledgement with your thank you letter that you can send to the recipient.
Have you considered including the gardens in your estate plans? While there are several approaches, one of the simplest is to make a bequest by including a gift to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens in your will. If you have questions about planned giving, please contact us.
You can honor a friend or family member by making a donation in their memory. Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to establish a link with the past and promote a vision for the future.
Gifts of Stock or Securities
Some donors prefer to support the botanical garden effort by donating stock instead of writing a check. With careful planning, you may be able to reduce capital gains tax while supporting our work. Please contact us for more information.
