Donate to Support the Gardens
You can play a leading role in helping to build the Education Pavilion. By making a donation today, you’ll help us achieve our goal of breaking ground in 2017. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
From buildings to trees, you can sponsor individual features that will be included in the first phase of the garden.
our COMMUNITY HELPED US REACH OUR 2016 fundraising goal
We have raised over $4.2 million in support of the future Waterfront Botanical Gardens.
The Education Pavilion will be the first building of Louisville’s future gardens. At the heart of our educational programming, its flexible space will be the perfect home for field trips by schoolchildren, conference speakers, flower shows and other special events.
We’ve come a long way, but our work is not yet complete.
Will you help us continue the momentum? By making a donation today, your support will play a direct role in making our community’s dream a reality. Building this first piece of the gardens will be possible only through the generous support of people like you.
Buy a Brick
You can show your support for the future gardens by making a donation to our Buy a Brick campaign. In appreciation for donations of $100 and above, you can engrave a brick in the Founders’ Garden at the Heigold Facade. If your brick is a gift, let us know and we’ll mail you a gift acknowledgement that you can give to the recipient!
Have you considered including the gardens in your estate plans? While there are several approaches, one of the simplest is to make a bequest by including a gift to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens in your will. If you have questions about planned giving, please contact us.
You can honor a friend or family member by making a donation in their memory. Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to establish a link with the past and promote a vision for the future.
Gifts of Stock or Securities
Some donors prefer to support the botanical garden effort by donating stock instead of writing a check. With careful planning, you may be able to reduce capital gains tax while supporting our work. Please contact us for more information.
Join the education 100!
We’d like to invite you to play a leadership role in helping to build the Education Pavilion.
Our goal is to find 100 supporters – individuals, families, organizations or companies – who will give at least $10,000 each toward the building. Gifts may be given in one lump sum, such as $10,000 this year. They may also be pledged and funded over multiple years, such as $5,000 a year for two years, or $2,500 a year for four years.
