The Vision of Botanica is to vastly improve opportunities for
experiential education about plants, landscapes, gardens and the
natural environment. Our goal is to build a place of beauty, a Botanical Garden and Conservatory,
on a sustainable and relevant site convenient for residents and
downtown visitors that will benefit Louisville, the region, and the
Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The Mission of Botanica is to promote and advocate for our community's environmental resources by providing educational programming for the public and a central source of connectivity for local horticultural, environmental and related organizations. We seek to be a leader in fostering lifelong learning about plants, our environment and its importance for us and for future generations.
