SPROUTS SUMMER CAMPS
Plants are paramount at Waterfront Botanical Gardens’ Sprouts Summer Camps. Whether we are painting pots, scooping soil for seeds, or peering at our planet’s predominant pollinators, age-appropriate botany is always at our core.
All summer camps take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday at Waterfront Botanical Gardens, 1435 Frankfort Avenue.
All campers must be fully potty-trained in order to attend camp.
Parents/Guardians should plan to provide transportation, a snack, and a lunch for their camper each day.
Flowers, Fables, & Fairytales
June 1st-June 5th
Ages 4-6

Step into the Gardens and onto the pages of some of history’s most beloved children’s stories. Science, art, and dramatic play activities will connect fantasy characters to our real-world environment.
Wildflowers, Worms, Wizards, & Wands
June 8th-June 12th
Ages 7-10

With a little imagination, the science of plants can quickly become quite magical. Step into our herbology lab where we will get curious about carnivorous plants and produce powerful plant potions.
Celebrate the Seasons
June 22nd-June 26th

Ever had a snowball fight in the summer? Or watched the leaves fall in June? Join us as we investigate why we have seasonal change in Kentucky and discover the adaptations plants and animals undergo to survive & thrive in each unique season.
Ecosystem Explorers
July 6th-July 10th
Ages 7-10

Pack your bags and get ready for an adventure as we set off to travel around the world-in one week! Campers will learn about the plants and animals that inhabit different ecosystems around the world.
From Conifers to Camptosaurus
July 13th-July 17th
Ages 4-6

Do you dig dinos? Travel back in time to discover what they ate, where they lived, and the plants that grew when they were alive. Pint-sized paleontologists are sure to have a ROARING good time!
Arts in the Garden
July 20th-July 24th
Ages 7-10

For centuries, artists of all kinds have been inspired by the beauty of nature. Join us for a week of dance, drama, music, and visual arts as we use the marigolds and magnolias as our muses.
Dirty, Muddy, Messy!
July 27th-July 31st
Ages 4-6

Learning in the garden can sometimes get a little grubby but prepare to get super messy as we spend the week digging into what lives underground and getting the dirt on how soil helps plants grow.

Summer Camp Cancellation Policy:
We allow cancellations through the month April. During this time, if you choose to cancel your booked week of camp, you will receive an 80% refund of your payment. After May 1st, we are unable to offer refunds for summer camps.
