This
Asian native is a little-known but outstanding
medium-sized tree for Kentucky gardens. Trident
Maple shows excellent tolerance to drought,
compacted soils and air pollution. It is highly
pest resistant and non-invasive. It will grow into
an upright oval to approximately 35' tall and
20-25' wide. It is grown for its glossy green
summer foliage followed by outstanding red, orange
and yellow fall color and attractive exfoliating
bark.
