We wanted to share the quote from Louisville’s Mayor Greg Fischer, mentioned in Bob Hill’s article “Planting the seeds for Louisville’s Waterfront Botanical Gardens” on September 1, 2013 in the Courier-Journal:
“It’s just an example of good city planning,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. “It’s close enough to town people could walk out there.
“We’re happy to be part of it, and we want to see it become successful. Some folks have stepped up with a lead gift and that, hopefully, portends good things to come.
“I think it will be great. We need things like this in the city.”
