Scout Garden Days at Waterfront Botanical Gardens

While many might see art and science as two completely different disciplines, Waterfront Botanical Gardens sees their connectedness through observation, exploration, and creativity. While art can help kids visualize scientific concepts, science can spark curiosity and creativity for artistic endeavors.

This summer, get inspired by our Scout programs that offer hands-on opportunities for children to explore science and art while fostering a connection to the natural world. At Waterfront Botanical Gardens, teaching science and art in the great outdoors is at the heart of what we do. Our programs encourage kids to delve into scientific concepts in a beautiful, outdoor setting that also inspires learners to create one of a kind works of art.

Each session is designed to introduce your Scout to environmental ideas relevant to our Growing Gardens through science based activities and dynamic art activity. As a bonus, badges are included and will be awarded at the end of each program, so your Scout can proudly show off her achievements.
