Volunteer
To fulfill our mission here at the Gardens, we rely on the active participation of
members from the community. Our past, present, and future successes are
due in large part to the skills and dedication of WBG volunteers. Whether they
are supporting community outreach, operational support or getting their hands
dirty in the garden, our volunteer community has a place for everyone regardless
of their level of experience.
By volunteering, you have the opportunity to participate in the growth of our
project, educate guests of all ages, develop new skills, and – of course – tend to
the gardens themselves. WBG is an ever-changing and rewarding place, and
we look forward to having you play a direct role in its growth!

Wbg garden guide training classes
The WBG Garden Guides serve as an essential part of the daily operations of the botanical gardens during visiting hours.
WBG Garden Guides are dependable, committed individuals who are willing and able to help us educate and inspire our guests and ensure that they have a positive garden experience.
In order to graduate, prospective Garden Guides are required to complete all the coursework in the training, including the final “graduation,” where they will demonstrate their knowledge for WBG staff.
