If you’ve walked by our new Leslie Botanical Classrooms, you’ve experienced Brook White’s glass piece, Synthesis. This program will give you a look behind Brook’s process, the creation, and the installation of the piece.  Participants will have the opportunity for a guided tour of Flame Run with Brook,  and have the opportunity to help create a take-home decorative glass bowl. You’ll experience a 2,100°F oven, glass being pulled out, color added (of your choice), and it all twisting together to create beautiful lines and shapes.

Your pieces can be picked up the following day at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens.

This is a high heat environment. It’s recommended to wear layers, closed toe shoes, and bring water.  There are some vending machines available in the lobby.

Accessibility friendly. Ages 18+

Although we are unable to refund registration fees in the case of cancellation by the purchaser, the paid registration can be transferred to another student. Please notify Kat Rivers at KRIVERS@WATERFRONTGARDENS.ORG or 502-276-5404 with the name of who will attend in your place.

In the event that Waterfront Botanical Gardens cancels a class for any reason (e.g. low enrollment, instructor unavailability, natural hazard, etc.), we will contact you by email, and we will attempt to reschedule the class or event. If there is no reschedule, the purchaser will be issued a full refund. Refunds are issued by check only.
