Bon Odori (Bon festival dance) is performed at the Bon festival in mid-August. It is danced in a circle formation to a Japanese folk song. Historically, it was performed to calm the ancestral spirits that came back during Obon. Today, it is enjoyed as a recreational event. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring your water!
