Our Garden-to-Fork Culinary Series has gone virtual this fall!
Let’s introduce you to one of the easiest fall staples in a plant-based diet: creamy veggie soups.
We will discuss tips and tricks for making soups super creamy without a drop of dairy cream.
Explore ingredient options such as potato, coconut, and nut milks and the simple technique of “throwing it all in the blender”!
Learn how to select from choices of a veggie, creamy ingredient, and herbs/spices for a simple template that will be your guide through your own at-home cooking journey.
Instructor Helene Trager Kusman will demo a seasonally delicious Ginger Squash Apple Soup and give insight into using some ‘superfoods’, how to better read grocery product labels, and how to use toppings to jazz-up any plant-based dish as we approach the Holiday season. She’ll also share her recipe for a Potato-Cauliflower Soup.
Registrants who cannot attend the live interactive ZOOM meeting will be provided a recording of the virtual presentation.

Refund Policy

Although we are unable to refund registration fees in the case of cancellation by the purchaser, the paid registration can be transferred to another student. In this case, please notify Allison Whitehouse at awhitehouse@waterfrontgardens.org or 502-276-5404 with the name of who will attend in your place. Multi-event series cannot be transferred. In the event that Waterfront Botanical Gardens cancels a class for any reason (e.g. low enrollment, instructor unavailability, natural hazard, etc.), we will attempt to reschedule the class or event. If there is no reschedule, the purchaser will be issued a full refund. Refunds are issued by check only. Beargrass Canoe Tours have a different policy with no refunds under any circumstance because of river and weather volatility.

Emergency Cancellation

In the event of an emergency cancellation, the Gardens will contact registered students with a cancellation notice (always provide/maintain a current email address and phone number so that we may notify you of an emergency or cancellation). The Gardens will attempt to reschedule classes cancelled due to an emergency event if possible.
