Avish Estate Greenhouse
$40, $35 WBG members (use code WBGMEMBER at checkout to receive discount)
Create a take-home outdoor faux terra-cotta container featuring winter-hardy succulents.
Performing best in partial sun, add 3-4 plants to create a contrast in texture, form, and color. Top-dress the soil with gravel to complete the composition and transport the container home for display on a patio table or house stoop. Creeping stonecrops and hens-and-chicks are the foundation to which small spring-flowering bulbs may be added in the fall.
All materials, supplies and plants provided and covered by the registration fee. Pre-registration is mandatory to have ample time to secure materials for students before the workshop.
Instructor: Jamie Burghardt
** social distancing measures will be practiced during this class
Registrants will receive an email with directions to the Avish and further details on the class TWO DAYS prior to the program.
Although we are unable to refund registration fees in the case of cancellation by the purchaser, the paid registration can be transferred to another student. In this case, please notify Allison Whitehouse at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-276-5404 with the name of who will attend in your place. Multi-event series cannot be transferred. In the event that Waterfront Botanical Gardens cancels a class for any reason (e.g. low enrollment, instructor unavailability, natural hazard, etc.), we will attempt to reschedule the class or event. If there is no reschedule, the purchaser will be issued a full refund. Refunds are issued by check only. Beargrass Canoe Tours have a different policy with no refunds under any circumstance because of river and weather volatility.
In the event of an emergency cancellation, the Gardens will contact registered students with a cancellation notice (always provide/maintain a current email address and phone number so that we may notify you of an emergency or cancellation). The Gardens will attempt to reschedule classes cancelled due to an emergency event if possible.
