Newfields: A Place for Nature and the Arts

Motor Coach Day-Trip to Indianapolis

Newfields is the 152-acre cultural campus that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art, The Garden, Lilly House and the Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. We will spend a full day (11 am to 5 pm) exploring the art galleries and the outdoor grounds, gardens and historic buildings. Among the art exhibitions to see include the LED glass “Studio Drift: Meadow” and “Dining by Design: Silver.” A contemporary lunch is included at the Newfields Café. Two guided tours—one of the permanent art collections and another of the outdoor gardens—treat your mind and visual sense. Free time may be spent indoors or out, including in the rest of the specialty art galleries, in the gift shop or in the expansive Fairbanks Park. We return to Louisville in our motor coach just before sunset. Fee includes refreshments, snacks and lunch.

Participants will receive an email confirmation with important details the day before the excursion. An itinerary will be provided the morning of the tour.

Refund Policy

Although we are unable to refund registration fees in the case of cancellation by the purchaser, the paid registration can be transferred to another student. In this case, please notify Allison Whitehouse at awhitehouse@waterfrontgardens.org or 502-276-5404 with the name of who will attend in your place. Multi-event series cannot be transferred. In the event that Waterfront Botanical Gardens cancels a class for any reason (e.g. low enrollment, instructor unavailability, natural hazard, etc.), we will attempt to reschedule the class or event. If there is no reschedule, the purchaser will be issued a full refund. Refunds are issued by check only.

Emergency Cancellation

In the event of an emergency cancellation, the Gardens will contact registered students with a cancellation notice (always provide/maintain a current email address and phone number so that we may notify you of an emergency or cancellation). The Gardens will attempt to reschedule classes cancelled due to an emergency event if possible.
